This site has been setup to display the progress and preparation involved in organizing a 2300+ mile motorcycle ride from Lowestoft (Britains most Easterly point) to John O’Groats in Scotland, then to Land’s End (without using motorways) and back to Lowestoft. This will now include the 4 furthest points of mainland Great Britain.

The run will take place in July 2009, should take 7 days to complete and will mark the 10th anniversary of my fathers death from cancer. The run will benefit 2 charities, with all money raised being split between them.

The charities concerned are:

Cancer Research UK.

PKD Charity (Polycystic Kidney Disease).

A huge personal thanks from me to everyone that took part, contributed in any way, and to our friends & families for being so supportive throughout this whole event. I couldn’t have wished for a better group of people to go away with, their commitment and enthusiasm has been outstanding. Thanks everyone.

Total miles:       2372

I was recently contacted by Phil Spencer, who has organised a bike ride for the ‘Help For Heroes’ charity. Phil will be joined by  several others as they make their way around the country to raise money for this worthwhile charity. Please take a look at their website (Click Here) and also donate securely via Justgiving by clicking here. The riders will leave RAF Cottesmore on 17th June and return on the 30th June. Good luck!
